The Fuzzrite operates with a 9-volt power source and can be powered by a 9 V battery or by a 9 V DC adapter with center-negative polarity and appropriate regulation/filtration for audio circuits. It has a low current draw (mA) suitable for battery operation, enabling longer battery life. The Depth knob provides a blend control that mixes a second transistor gain stage with the first, ranging from a cleanish, fuller sound at minimum to more pronounced second-stage distortion as it is increased. The Volume control adjusts the circuit's output level, with higher settings producing more drive and body in the fuzz tone. The pedal is designed to reproduce the fuzz-tones used on classic tracks and maintains stable operation across typical guitar amplifier inputs.
